Can Dr. Lerner help me with a Notice of Proposed Disqualification (NOPD) with the NYPD or the NYC Department of Correction?

 

Yes. Dr. Lerner has specialized in law enforcement psychological appeals for more than three decades. He works in collaboration with attorney Robert B. Kronenberg, Esq., a former NYPD Captain (Ret.). Please call Mr. Kronenberg directly at (631) 234-4434, and he will explain the process in detail. If you leave a message stating that "Mark asked me to call," you will be a priority.

Should you wish to proceed pro se (representing yourself without an attorney) with an appeal, please email a signed copy of the Authorization for Release of  Records with the NYPD to Dr. Mark Lerner at DrMarkLerner@me.com and provide your telephone number. Dr. Lerner will then call you.

 

 

Can Dr. Lerner help me with a fitness-for-duty evaluation with another law enforcement agency?

 

Yes. Please email DrMarkLerner@me.com directly, specifying the agency to which you are applying. Be sure to include your telephone number. Dr. Lerner will then call you.

Can Dr. Lerner represent me in a legal matter?

 

No. Dr. Lerner does not function as legal counsel; however, he will speak directly with your attorney to understand the nature of your case. Please provide your attorney with Dr. Lerner’s URL: MarkLerner.com, as well as the contact link. If you are representing yourself pro se, Dr. Lerner will contact you personally. Please email him a brief explanation of your case and be sure to include your telephone number.

Can Dr. Lerner help me with a fitness-to-practice evaluation—for medicine, teaching, or administration?

Can I schedule a counseling or psychotherapy session with Dr. Lerner?

 

No. Dr. Lerner’s work is now limited exclusively to the practice of forensic psychology—the intersection of psychology and law—and his work as Chairman of The National Center for Emotional Wellness.
